More About Us

"A Family Tradition Since 1951"

In the early 1940's five Jackson brothers moved from Jones County to South Atlanta seeking a better life. Over time, all became successful in various businesses; always remaining close to each other.

Howard N. Jackson, Sr. along with his two sons, Howard, Jr. and J.H. became involved in the logging and lumber business eventually leading them into residential construction. In 1951 H. N. Jackson and sons started their first subdivision in East Point. Home sales boomed after World War II and the newly formed construction company prospered.

In 1957 the trio branched into the ready mixed concrete business, purchasing a small concrete plant in East Point, Georgia. Howard, Jr. was named president while J.H. continued as president of the residential construction division.  During the twenty years of operation, Jackson Ready Mix Concrete Company, Inc. expanded throughout metro Atlanta, eventually operating seven plants, one hundred twenty five mixer trucks and supporting a work force of three hundred employees.  In late 1976 the concrete company was sold and again residential construction became the mainstay of the family.

Presently H. Brian Jackson and Brett H. Jackson, the grand son and great grand son of Howard Sr., reside  in Jones County and are heavily involved in residential construction and land development.

Today all of Howard Sr.'s grandsons and their sons are builders and developers, making residential construction a fourth generation business for the Jackson family. We proudly celebrate our "68th" anniversary in 2019.
